Twisty for a Friend

Recently a friend of mine lost his brother. Since only few weeks ago he told me that his favorite character was Twisty the Clown from American Horror Story, I decided to gift him with a drawing of his favorite character.

For Danny

I didn’t know much about Twisty and was surprised to discover that, even though he’s absolutely terrifying, he’s actually a pretty sympathetic character.

BB-8 for my BB-Mate

Today is my 5th Wedding Anniversary. Below is a card I made for my amazing wife. Her favorite Star Wars character is BB-8 and so I had the Sketch Wars Drawing Club unknowingly draw her a bunch of BB-8s

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Over the last year I’ve had the opportunity to do some character drawings from the upcoming blockbuster Star Wars: The Last Jedi for MakingStarWars.net

Tie Fighter & the First Ever Sketch Wars Drawing Club

One of my goals with my Sketch Wars project is to encourage others to draw and to draw often. After finding several other drawing clubs on Instagram I decide to start my own!

I’ll be posting drawing prompts from time to time on my Instagram and Twitter.

First up we did drawings of TIE Fighters as I’ve wanted to draw a TIE Fighter for a really long time.

You can view the other amazing entries under the hashtag #SketchWarsDrawingClub on both Instagram and Twitter.

Illustrations for X-Wing Interviews

Recently John Bishop of MakingStarWars.net got the opportunity to interview some of the actors who portrayed various X-Wing pilots from various Star Wars films. To accompany his interviews he asked me to draw the corresponding helmet.

I took this opportunity to continue to hone my digital art skills. Below are the first four helmets with links to John’s interview.

Commission Brazil

Last week I had the pleasure of doing not one, but two commissions for Marcio Filho from Brazil.

These were fun commissions to do as Plo Koon is my favorite Jedi, and I’ve been wanting to try my hand at doing more vehicles. (TIE Fighter next?)

Let me know what vehicles you’d like me to try my hand at, and also let me know who your favorite Jedi is in the comments below

Trench: Rebel Admiral

A few weeks ago I was commissioned to draw Admiral Trench (from The Clone Wars series), but with a TWIST.

As you may know, Trench gets seemingly killed off several times in the series, but always seems to turn back up. So, what if Trench ultimately survived the Clone Wars, and went on to fight with the good guys for once as an Admiral in the Rebel Alliance? Below is what that might have looked like:

I gave him a jacket similar to General Dodonna’s, his arms are made out of droid parts, and he’s a little bit more raggedy, and a lot more unhinged after being blown-up so many times. Wouldn’t you love to see him show up on Rebels?
